strange noise

hi all may not be nothing to serious but whilst driving along i have a strange whining type alarm that keeps going of which is located below the steering wheel,when i touch the brakes the noise goes and then gradually comes back it is very very annoying. any advice on what it may be.

Possibly the wife moaning about you driving too fast :biglaugh:
