Hi everyone, just about to take delivery of my new(to me) Passat 2.0tdi 140SE estate. Its a late 05 new shape model. Only thing worrying me is the mileage. Its done 94000miles but comes with full sevice history. Hope to learn alot from this site.

Welcome Paul, I'm a newbie myself. Just thought I'd reply about high mileage. The mileage is likely to be motorway or certainly lengthy journeys which will cause no detriment to the engine, indeed it will have loosened up nicely . These sort of engines will be quite happy after 200,000 miles and more. You also have FSH so everything should be fine.

I always think the worst s/hand cars are often low-mileage, driven by little old ladies and without any maintenace record.
