Oil smell inside car

I can smell oil when i first start the car, and the oil level seems to be dropping fairly quickly aswell. I've had to add about a litre in the last 6 months, but can't figure out where it's going to.

There is no smoke from the exhaust, and there isn't any evidence of oil drips underneath the car and it doesn't look like it's getting into the coolant either.

Is there anywhere i am missing? what could be the problem?

What year and what engine have you got in there?

Probably a small amount of valve guide oil leakage. Anything up to 1 litre per 1000 miles is OK so considering the average of 1K per month, 6 months to 1 litre is nothing.
