Hi, Can any body help

VW Jetta 2008 with factory reversing sensors.
Have had towbar fitted by a Witter dealer and they have told me they are unable to set the vehicle up so the sensors cut out when the trailer is attached although a dedicated loom has been fitted.

I have tried to acces the control unit to activate this issue ,but the system is asking for an activation code?
I have previously activated this facility on my 05 Octavia without problems, once I connected up the fly lead to the sensor control unit.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi there,

P F Jones Ltd have fitted VW Jetta towbar before.

The information you have been told is correct. You will need to take your vehicle into a VW dealer to have a download. This will then solve your problem.

The price of a download varies from dealer to dealer but from past experience expect to pay no more than £60.00

P F Jones Ltd have national towbar fitting (http://www.pfjones.co.uk) centers and are the UK biggets supplier of Westfalia towbars (http://www.pfjones.co.uk) and Witter towbars (http://www.pfjones.co.uk).
