A4 1.8t Radiator fan not working?

Hi to all,

I recently bought an A4 1.8t on a 2002 plate, all is well except I never heard the radiator fan working. The car drinks a lot of coolant and I'm constantly having to fill up although the engine temperature gauge reads 90 when engine is warm. Also the fuse box does not have a radiator fuse but the fuse box diagram shows a space for the radiator fuse.
