Hi people. :aargh4:
I recently put some rear L.E.D's on my B7 A4 TDI S-Line, pleased with the result, but the drivers reversing light is picking a live up permanently, it is only very faint, but on none the less.
Any ideas? :1zhelp:
Also i have purchased some L.E.D's that replace the standard sidelight bulb, but i cannot get the bulb to come out of the headlamp unit? I think its a straight pull, but want to check with someone please? :zx11:
Lastly with said L.E.D's fitted my bulb failure alarm is gonna be going crazy, is there anyway of fixing this? :(

Pheew. :Blush2:

Not sure about the other questions but I replaced my sidelights not long ago and it is just a hard yank to get them out.

Out of interest what LEDs did you use on the rear lights was it?

you need some load resistors to stop the bulb alarm,
mine doen the exact same thing, you can get these on ebay.
as said in the above post you really need to pull the wires hard
to get the bulb holder out,I felt like the wires were gonna snap
when I was replacing mine but they dont.

The permanent live is the bulb testing circuit, otherwise the car would only be able to tell a bulb has gone when you try to use it.

You need some resistors.

Hi,

For the sidelights we actually have specific LED's that get around the ECU system and stop the bulb alarms coming up. Please see the following link for more details,

http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-led-canbus-super-bright-white-c-611-p-1-pr-17819.html

They are not the cheapest of bulbs however the forum discount does apply on this product.

With regards to load resistors we also have these available. Please see the following link,

Hope this helps.
