Hi can any vag com guru advsie please.

My a4 b5 avant 1.9tdi 2000 (Audi Concert radio) used to flash indicators when the doors were locked via the remote, but has stopped doing this it still does flash when opening. I have checked for faults and nothing has shown up.

Also on my A4 when arming the alarm via the keyfob it does not beep, hence I tried to +1024 in the coding to make it beep and not been sucessful. Can anyone advise on how to do this.

Also on my lead I scan auto and get excessive communications error on HVAC and stops scanning.

Any help on the above would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

It sounds to me like one of your lock/closed sensors isn't working properly. Does the interior light turn off as it should?

The central locking won't beep unless all the doors are closed, and as your car is not flashing the hazards then I reckon your car doesn't think all the doors are closed (could also be the boot or bonnet).

Thank you for the quick response.

I will check the bonnet as all the lights go out as normal with doors and boot and I have recently replaced the timing belt, aux fanbelt tensioner and water pump. With that in mind doing the job the front end was removed and I might have upset the bonnet sensor.

Any ideas on the other bits?

Thank in advance

Ah, missed the HVAC question but have seen it before. Try disconnecting the battery for a minute or two and see if that makes any difference. The control modules can get in a mess occasionally (had it twice with a Skoda Superb this evening).

Thanks for your advise, i noticed the bonnet sensor was not set right hence problem with alarm beep

Also with +1024 coding have managed to get the alarm to beep when activated.

Thank you
