Are all Audi A6 2.0TDi 2006 slow pickup in 1st gear?

Just curious, I am in the motor trade and just have had 2 Audi A6's delivered, both 2.0 tdi manual's and both 2006 year, 100,000 miles with FSH.

I have driven them bot and when you pull off in 1st gear, theres quite a lag, once in 2nd gear it takes off!

Are they supposed to be like this?
