In case I haven't told you all before, after a 5 month wait, my car has been delivered and I collect it next Tuesday afternoon.

1) 1.4 TSI 122PS 'SE' 5dr hatchback.
2) Reflex Silver
3) Sunroof
4) MFSW
5) Luxury Pack
6) Parking Sensors

In fact by the time I collect it, it will have been just over 5 month since I first placed my order.

Well done - only 1 more month for me to wait :(

I'm trying to hold off in buying things for my current mk5 - I know I need new tyres(front and back), wipers (front and back), and the service light has just appeared yesterday - 600 miles to go.

I really need a new car - lol

No hijacking your thread here but ive just ordered and have been told 10 weeks. Is that about right or should I be expecting a longer wait?

Depends on what you have ordered.
As far as I have been told by my dealer, VW are currently telling customers, that factory orders for the 1.4 TSI-based Golfs, would expect to get their cars by Feb/March 2010.

I've been told exactly the same thing by my local dealer. Luckily my TSI SE is due to arrive at the end of August bang on time for picking up on 1st September with a 59 Reg... fingers crossed

Heard yesterday that I now have a build date of week 34 (17 August) and to expect car 4 weeks after that which should be mid September. Did place order on 17 March so it will have taken six months in total. 1.4 122 SE.

Thanks for the replies. In my case its a 2.0 tdi so hopefully 10 weeks will be right and not 5 months like the 1.4.

Dont forget to post pics, interior and exterior :beerchug:
