Just push the silver button on the back of key and pull the silver cap off.

Yes... and the brake lights come on when you brake. :biglaugh: - Just kidding.

Have a look in the door shuts. You'll see a key hole that your key may just fit.
Now..... I wonder what they may be for... ?????

Ok - no more **** taking. :D

Do you know about the plastic emergency key in the glovebox? This is what the "wallet key" slides into so you can start the car?

Couldn't see what you were talking about so I had to refer to the manual  which even shows the emergency key :biglaugh:

Getting into the car using the "hidden" key will set the alarm off once you are in it.

I have a black plastic key which my dealer say's can be put into the plastic holder in the glove box and your then able to start the car.
Is there something else I should know.

Using that, you can drive off quite happily. Speaks from experience having left the 'real' key in an office 200 miles away one day.:o

Should I keep the black plastic key on my person all the time or is there somewhere were I can keep it.

I keep the little plastic key in my wallet. Hence, when I left the 'proper' key in an office 200 miles away, the sense of relief to be able to open up the car by means of the lock(yes, the alarm goes off) and insert the wallet key into the plastic holder and drive off cannot be overstated.

From panic to overwhelming relief in one easy go. As Mastercard would say, priceless!

Nice touch, Audi.

Hi...

Great that...

Just need to figure out a place where I can hide the key, but still be able to get at it if needed.
