A6 C6 2006 2.0 TDI SE with 19" rims? ANYONE??

I have posted previously regarding this topic but unfortunately i couldnt find an exact answer.
I fitted 19" RS4s to my SE (NON-sporty suspension) with 235/35 tyres.
The tyres look small and there is a big gap between the wheel and the wing. This is because SEs have a comfortable suspension. Obviously i dont want to fit an S-line suspension now as it costs alot of money, so I was wondering whether anyone got the 19 " rims with bigger tyre size on their Audi SE? Basically i wanna know the maximum tyre size i could fit without affecting the speedo and stuff like that.

Any change to the rolling radius of the tyre will affect the speedon and other stuff.

If you go up to 255/35/19s, then you probably won't affect it that much. work it out with a calculator and a bit of maths (255 x 0.35 x 2 + 19 x24.5 will give you the diameter).
If you go up by too much, then you might end up with the tyres fouling the arches on full lock/ full bump, an dthat would be bad.

I'd suggest finding out what wheel and tyre options Audi offered on your car model, and take it from there.

I fitted 19" RS4s to my SE (NON-sporty suspension) with 235/35 tyres.

These are not the correct size tyres for your A6. You need to fit 255/35/19 tyres to get the correct rolling radius for your car. If you drive your car with non-approved tyres fitted, your insurance may decline to pay in the event of an accident (you need to make sure that you fit W, Y or Z rated "Extra Load" tyres for the A6). The 255s will also give you approx 14mm greater overall tyre diameter than the 235/35 tyres from the RS4, which may go a little way to reducing the gap between your wheelarch and tyre. You really need to sort this first, then look at changing the suspension later if you still think the gap is too big.
