t4 2 or 4 pin intercooler

Hi. I have a 2002 2.5tdi 88 bhp T4 . I want to fit a intercooler , but unsure if i need a 2 or 4 pin intercooler. Am i right in thinking models up to 1996 are 2 pin and 1996 - 2003 are 4 pin.:confused:

2002 = 4 pin.

However, if you look at ebay you will find L200 intercoolers for cheap as chips.

With a couple of home made brackets and a bit of jiggery with the pipe work it fots on the T4 right where the 102 intercooler goes.

20 minute job to fit and 25 - 50 quid.
