I've made a couple of posts previously about my Stereo being broken (well CD player and a few buttons), and also stuck in the dash board.

Think I'll just have to buy a whole new unit.

Can anyone tell me the part number for a 2003 A4, and if it is a Bose or not.

Mine has got the little sub in the boot.

Concert or symphony.
If its Bose you will have BOSE on the speakers.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but whilst this is still a fresh discussion:
Will a Concert fit into an A4 that's previous had a Chorus in it? I was looking at getting a second hand Concert to replace my broken Chrous so I have a CD player and don't have to fiddle with any wiring.

I had contacted him in the past from your recommendation, below link

the problem is, I cant remove the stereo from the dash, below link

http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=68875

Cheshire Oaks Audi said they couldn't guarantee my dash would still be in one piece if they tried to get it out, so I havent really done anything for a month or two.

Anyway, I was looking through my manual this morning and found an old invoice from Audi in 2006 (previos owner), where they have removed the stereo and replaced due to problem.

The stereo hasn't beeen moved since then, so it must have been bodged back in to place, and that is why I cant remove.

I've called Audi customer services and created a log file, and they will get back to me within 48 hours.

Anyone know what to excpect?

I have asked for a replacement stereo but will settle for it being removed, so I can try and get it fixed myself.

Update:

Well at first they wanted me to do the 500 mile round trip to Bexley, for them to get the stereo out, I told them not a chance, and waited for them to get back to me.

Audi Cust Service dealt with Bexley Audi and agreed I take it in to my local Audi, Cheshire Oaks, for them to price up how much it would cost them to remove, and send the bill to Bexley.

Booked in for this morning.

Arrived at 07:50 like they said, was told by service that no technicians there until 8:30:mad:

So I waited....and waited....

Then at 10:00 the girl from service comes out with my keys and sayd "couldnt do anything with the old one, so just replaced it for you"...

my jaw hit the floor and I quickly drove off...:biglaugh:

I only expected to be left with a hole in the dash and the head unit on the passenger seat, but instead there was a brand new £250 worth of stereo in my 6 year old A4.....they even washed and valeted it for me.

It just go's to show, PERSISTANCE PAYS:beerchug:
