I drove my VW to the golf course with A/C on and working fine, then it would not work on my way home and I checked the pressures, and they were okay, and from all indications the Fan Control Module was bad. I replaced the Fan Control Module and the A/C worked fine for 1 trip to town. 10 Miles.. then nothing the next time I drove it... I did notice that the temp was colder than usual, and did not verify that fans were running, before it quit.. I hate to just buy another Module and have it last 10 miles..Does anyone have any suggestions???

Ian:

I would like to thank you for sending me the troubleshooting guide.. Fuse number 8 on the top of the Battery was the problem, and as stated in the troubleshooting guide it corrodes and is a very common problem. I just moved it and everything started working..Its the culprit for sure..
Again thanks so much for the help. John

I'm really pleased you found the fault rather than the main $tealers spending £100s changing bits, possibly !!

As with my Beemer I have started a Word document which I am filling with good tech info from the forums as I browse. The air con test links had not long been found and I'm sure if you were left searching you'd have found a clue in time.

Either way your thanks are appreciated :beerchug:
