Ive got as above registered 10th Feb 05. Can someone tell me what grade of oil to use. Its had a servicxe at 3500 miles (not longlife) and the next one is due around 19000 miles. Is this correct. Also its used about 1 ltr of oil during the past 10000 miles, is this right?
If anyone can tell me the bhp too?
Thanks

The next one will be due from between 9,000 and 19,000 miles. It will flash up on your dashboard, and is dependant on how you drive it.

1Lt per 10,000 miles seems about normal.

2.0 Tdi A6 will be 138bhp (classed at 140bhp for some reason)

I would phone the garge who serviced it and ask them for the grade of oil to use.

Thanks for that advice, however it still leave me with a burning question, which oil. I bought a litre of oil under Audi's advice, it was Shell Helix Ultra 5W-30. The back of the oil can states for use when handbook calls for VW 506 00, 506 01, along with others. I HAD been using Castrol GTX longlife 2, but got confused when a seller on ebay stated that you needed the Castrol GTX longlife 3 for cars that "have a dpf filter".
What's a dpf filter?

DPF is a Diesel Particulate Filter.

I would use the same oil as the garage uses. Just ask the service centre.
