Hi Guys,
Can anyone help me with a problem I am having with my recently acquired 2006 – V6 Diesel Touareg that I thought would make a good towcar for our caravan. When the vehicle was at our local VW dealer to have a towbar fitted I also mentioned to there specialist Touareg Techy that the engine management light sometimes comes on with - Exhaust Particle Filter Fault !! Go to your Dealership, warning, On our return to collect the car the Technician explained that there was a problem with the left side Tumble Flap Motor, they also refer to an Intake Runner, and that he had reset it on his diagnostic computer and all should be ok but of course it was not and the warning light returned. After a call to the dealer to enquire what was needed to cure the fault, they said the part needed was not available till July ( this all happened in June ) and the cost would be £707.34 ( ouch ). I would be very grateful if anyone can throw some light as to the severity of the problem as we are still driving the car and what actually has happened and also would be the possibility for me to fit the part?.
