So, as per the title, can the DAB option be retro-fitted to a car without it? I have the DVD sat nav and B&O sound system but no DAB. Given the otherwise excellent sound quality from the stereo it is an option I'd be quite keen to have.

Seems as though with Audi if its not fitted at the factory you are out of luck.

Anybody know if its possible?

Since you have sat nav then the car uses the MOST bus communications system which is fibre optic. This actually makes adding DAB quite simple. I believe you just need the DAB module and a VAG-COM tweak.

That's what I've heard on forums but I've no real experience of it.

Depends where the DAB aerial is in the new A4?

I retro-fitted it to my A6 and it was easy. Just needed a new rear quarter light window in the A6 as thats where the DAB aerial is fitted in the A6.
