Can anybody shed any light on why potential purchase might have CD problem?
The 6xCD initially has interference gets quieter during drive.
The radio etc has no inteference. (Car has MMI colour)

Cheers

Car, model, year and even engine code. Then a good description of the noise would be helpful. Regards Peter

Car is a 2005 54 audi A6 3.0TDI quattro saloon S-Line
Has BOSE and MMI full colour (no nav)
the radio works fine with excellent sound quality. The CD sometimes has a crackling and inteference. It isn't always noticeable (maybe not there??) but if it is you can hear it once volume goes past background noise (if that makes sense)

Does it increase with the volume or is it fixed in level. Regards Peter

Hi Peter (I think) it is a constant(ie fixed in level when it occurs)! Sorry for the very vague replies - sound is such a subjective 'thing'!

I would initially suspect a connector problem on the earth side so you will need the re-seat the associated connectors. Regards Peter

Actually how do you get the cd changer out - presume the two slots in bottom of unit - special tool or can you make one?
