Make sure it's formatted in FAT16 format, and avoid track names over 64 characters long.

Other than that it could be knackered, but I'm guessing that it works OK in the PC?

You have to have navi plus then the screen lifts up to reveal 2 SD/MMC slots

[quote=d-lite;31967]Hi all

Anyone advise me on the most appropriate SD cards and any tips so that I can use them in my 2007 A4 S line, it has 2 slots and I want to maximise the music I can play via the SD cards.

No real considerations - must be regular SD and not SDHC card.

Format in fat as mentioned (I think mine are fat 32 though and work fine - I'll verify that tomorrow).

Some have found issues if you fill card to limit, while leaving just a mb or so free overcame issues - not verified this myself.

Thanks for that, can I use 2 x 512mb cards (one in each slot) and is there a limit to the number of tracks on each card that the A4's system will play?

I'm running 2 x 1gb cards, no issues. 2 gig cards also will be fine I believe.

As for limit, I believe the later revisions of RNS-E sw either removed or raised a file system limit. Though again not confirmed - i've not hit a limit with the 1gig cards - at least not one that I've noticed.

I think you will run into problems with cards above 2Gb on the older versions. Not sure about the very latest version though.

:oThanks for the advice guys, I've noticed that it only plays mp3 format files so I'll need to convert all my itunes mp4 files to mp3 and then upload on to the 2 1gb cards.
