Jetta 40,000 mile service

Does anyone know whether the timing belt needs to be changed as part of the 40K service on a 2.0tdi jetta. Have heard this is required and very expensive.

i was told at vw tamworth last saturday cambelt needs changing every 4 years or 80k which ever comes first.they charge 330 for a cambelt service.
