Hello all,

I have an Audi A3 1.8T 1999. The car has recently had an oil and filter change, about 3 months back. Just during the last couple of weeks, the "Engine oil pressure" light has been coming on after driving for about 20 mins of steady driving, accompanied by a beep. And it keeps going off after that.
I did an auto scan using the VAG CoM, but found no fault codes on the engine. I even did an engine oil change along with a oil filter change (with engine flush). But the problem persists.
Could it be an oil pump problem? Is there a way of knowing for sure, using VAG COM, where the problem lies? I am new to this tool.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Here's what my VAG COM scan came up with.

I would have someone do an oil pressure check on her, its an easy enough job, it could well be a dodgy oil pressure switch?
ive not heard of oil pumps going on these engines before.....but theres always a first

Rob

dfilogik.... I have posted a similar problem, but mine was only at start up... what was the outcome of your issue?

Hey I have seen this fault on a lot of these engines and it's very worth while checking that the oil pump pick up is not blocked especially if the oil sump has previously been off usually to much sealant is used and that blocks the strainer
