:1zhelp: Relative newbie- Just stalled my car this morning (selected 3rd instead of first) Restarted with terrible screaming sound like a belt slipping or rubbing.
Lifted the bonnet ,noticed a bolt below the engine mounting bracket loose hanging out of the side-unable to refit - no space & maybe not aligned.

Any ideas what I may have done- I cannot see what has occurred.
And to add injury to insult Skoda extended warranty ran out and they did not remind me, M

Just lifted the covers and the cambelt pulley is rubbing onto ally bracket looks like the engine has dropped
will try to fix it- keep you all posted

Any chance of a pic of the bolt in question?

:( Hi Kenney- I have just managed to refit the bolt. It was the top bolt holding the ally bracket the engine mount bolts to. I had the cam-belt changed last month (Skoda)- I wonder if this bracket is removed during this procedure and was not bolted up tight and my stall last the last straw. It took me > 5 hours to get at it.
Cheers Martin

if they changed the tensioner they would have taken the bracket off the rear bolt of the top 2 is a pig if you have a/c but no excuse for not being tightend........

Vagman right mate, shoddy work leaving mounting bolts undone...
