Alhambra cuts out

hi have a 2.0 petrol 98 R reg Alhambra starts ok drives fine untill temp gauge goes just past half way mark and the engine cuts out and wont start untill it has coold down have got new thermostat but dont now were it goes so if any one can help please do

carnt see why termostat would make it cut out sounds more like a crank sensor fault,where in kent are you ?

umh not to far from me,if you want a vag scan on car would be willing to meet

ok but how much does that cost and i cant drive my car very far befor it cuts out then have to wait before it stats again

a vag scan is a scan of your car with vcds to find all the ecus on your car identify what you have or havent got and to pull out the fault codes
