Heater issues

I have a 2005 A6 3.0TDI Quattro which I purchased from Audi dealership 5 weeks ago. I had a problem with the fuel gauge not working and also an issue with the heater blowing cold air out of the central vents after around 5 minutes running.

The car is now with the dealer (Been there 2 weeks waiting for fuel sensors to be delivered) but they tell me that the heater issue is a characteristic of the vehicle and is therefore unrepairable. I find this hard to believe as hot air blows out off all vents initially then only hot out of the driver and passenger side after a short while with the centre vents blowing cold air.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone offer me any help on this as I'm due to collect my car on Saturday from the dealer but as it 60 miles away I don't want another trip to sort out the heater if indeed it is faulty.


Or if any of you other A6 owners can confirm or deny the dealers claim that this is not a fault and is simply how the heater functions.
