Hi All

I have just purchased an 06 place Mk5 TDi 140, I am thinking of having the stereo replaced as I would like to be able to connect my ipod and have some bluetooth functionality.

I have already had a quote for the following system

Alpine CDE 104BTi head unit
Alpine PMX-F640 4 channel amp
JL Audio 12w1 12" subwoofer
JL Audio 650csi front speakers
JL Audio 650 cxi rear speakers
Sub Enclosure
All cables and connectors

The head unit will give me the hands free and ipod connectivity (in the glove box)

The idea is to run the sub from 2 channels of the amp and the other 2 channels to run the front speakers (the back ones run from the head unit)

I have been quoted £1000 including fitting but after pricing up the parts I can buy them myself for about £580

Anyone have any comments on the parts/the price, as I think this can be done cheaper and I would like to know what you think of the choice of bits (quality etc)

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Chris

Oh forgot to say, anyone know of any reputable installers in the vicinity of Swindon (Wiltshire)

I have used John Kleis in Reading before - or opposite them Sextons would probably be okay also.
