Basic wash, including snow foam (maxi suds - thanks Dave@ cleanyourcar :D). Wheels cleaned with Meg's wheel brightener to begin with, Bilberry used for general maintenance thereafter.

So far, not even a claybar has touched her, she's currently been treated with some PB black hole, topped with some CG Wet mirror finish (Collinite and P21s to follow I think). Perhaps some dodo blue velvet?

AG Instant tyre to dress the tyres
AG Bumper care to dress the bumpers/sills (proof that some AG stuff is still holding it's own)

Interior to be cleaned yet, using a bit of Sonus Cockpit detailer and Gliptone leather cleaner/conditioner.

Car looks good, with lots of potential. Is it Black or Ming Blue - it's difficult to tell from the pics mate?

Also, how do you find the Black Hole - does it do much of a job on the swirls?

I know this car will look super when you finally get it machined. Good luck and good to see you've moved onto a proper motor:p

erm... I don't quite know how to put this without sounding insulting, but unless you're colour blind, the car's very much blue

Black hole I would suggest is more of a paint cleanser than anything else, it did very little by way of covering swirls (I hate that practice anyway, would far rather it be machined).

I'm due some training courtesy of Dave on swirl removal, I reckon I'll be working on about 75/80% rectification, it's a daily drive so going for total perfection would be stupid, it also needs a rear quarter respray.

And as for the proper motor <cough> I'd still have my golf back, even now.;)

Esh, it is difficult to see if it's black or blue in the photos, due to the bright sunlight..:D

Thanks:D

Had the same colour for 5 years myself and it confused the living daylights out of everyone, even myself at times. It could be 3 different colours depending on light level. That's the ming blue for you.

Looks nice mate! (But then I would be biased since I have a very similar car). Just on a side note, did you de-badge it? If so, do they leave any marks etc? I have considered de-badging mine, but not 100% sure yet.

I think I read a post where someone used dental floss to get behind the badge, and then just wax etc to clean it up. I reckon i'll do mine, but not yet. I'm just enjoying it far too much to even be bothered changing things up lol
