I recently put together a maintenance report checklist for my Passat TDi which I thought I could share with you. I'm not recommending anything its purely something I've done for my own personal use but it may come in useful for others who do their own services. There are quite a few omissions, namely those which are checked as part of the yearly MOT, but if you have any suggestions or additions from experience or other which you think could be included I would be pleased to hear from you,. Enjoy:Blush:

It would be a good idea to offer it as an Opendocument spreadsheet file (.ods) as supported by Openoffice as well. Not everyone had excel but most people can download Openoffice for free.

You can upload the file as an attachment [paperclip icon] as long as it is less than 19.5k in size.

You could also save the file in csv format so forum members can use their preferred spreadsheet or database to open the file.

Is this something you have made up yourself or is it out of a service manual?

Cheers,

Jon

I'm inclined to believe it's been customised by Foxcub, the service book certainly doesn't give that level of detail. It doesn't talk about engine flush, diesel treatment, wiper blades or even 5,000 mile services!

Looks like a great guide for keeping your car running forever, dropping the oil every 5,000 miles works magic.

P.S. what year is your car Foxcub?

Cheers Foxcub,

I wish VWs list that we get was as comprehensive as this!

I think some of the jobs you have mentioned at 20,000 miles are overlooked by VW.

Thanks again
