Golg MK IV Tailgate central locking problem

Hi guys,

My central locking doesn't seem to want to lock the boot. I have the barrel in the vertical position but when I lock the car using the key fob, the tailgate is still unlocked. Also, I cannot hear the mechanism even attempting to lock the tailgate. Any ideas on how this can be resolved??

hey sounds like you have got the barrel the wrong way try having the barrel horizontal and see if that works if not then your motor could be faulty strip your tailgate down and try and spray some wd40 on it whilst wrking the key from lock to unlock and see if this helps you ????
