Bought this car in june 05.2001 plate.On cold mornings when trying to start it fires first time but then idles at 400 revs for several seconds,sounds like stalling,then finally automatic choke kicks in.This has only appeared in winter months.Diagnostic check showed no faults,any clues that i can fire at dealer appreciated.

Hi there, I have the same issue on my 1.6. Looking to get it resolved but don't know what's up...would prefer to go to VW armed with the info of what's causing it :)

What was it?
