Hi - new to the site and any advice would be great...
I have an '04 Ibiza that's developed an intermittent fault.
On unlocking with the keyfob, then opening the driver's door, sometimes it doesn't register that the door's open (cabin light doesn't come on).
This wouldn't bother me, except that if I'm fetching stuff from the car etc (i.e. not starting it up), it waits about 30 seconds, thinks none of the doors have been opened and tries to lock itself (even with the door wide open).
Problem 1 - serious chance of locking keys in car
Problem 2 - it locks and sets the alarm - which promptly goes off.
Any ideas whether it can be fixed easily - or how much it might cost at a dealership.
