If you wish I will dig the mounts out when I get time (if I can find them) and you can make some measurements. I have used 357 hubs (the same as you) and coil over struts (which work with the Mk1 top mounts) and fitted very early Passat VR6 hubs and wheel bearings for ABS and five stud plus modified Mk1 wishbones to take Golf 2 late ball joints but the camber worries me at the moment, we will have to see. The shell is pained and most of the running gear powder coated/plated ready to go it, I am just waiting for some more money from the owner.

That would be great...as for you camber issues... yes it's miles off...But to get around it you used solid top mounts.. the isometric ones which you can change the camber at the top... This gives you plenty to bring it back in...

as for my brake setup i went for 280mm 4 stud using these...

As you can see i've gone back to the messy stage before i strip to make neat again...lol but it's coming together over time...

It was Lhasa Green LA6V but that is Golf 2 Oak green L94E.

Yes the camber plates were a solution I looked at but dismissed due to the refinement issue, I am going back to the drawing board on the front hubs and using Golf 1 84 onwards hubs (larger CV joint bore) and the Passat hubs machined down to fit Golf 1 wheel bearings. If I had decided to do this at the primer stage I would have fitted Golf 2 strut housings and moved them further out.
