hi all
my girlfreind has bought a new bug recentley spec:
51 reg
2.0 petrol 8v
65000 miles
she had the oil warning light come on approx 1 month ago.so being the dutiful bfriend chkd oil topped up oil,on topping up i noticed the dreaded mayo round the oil filler,but nothing appears on dipstick wen oil has circulated,she came home again last night with oil light blazin again have topped up again and after cleaning the filler cap last time the mayo is back.its kind ov got me thinking is it the head gasket blown or has the car been in flood damage and dried out n resold,it makes me think this because of the oil in the sump doesnt appear to be contaminated on dipping.
also the radiator header tank doesnt appear to be contaminated and doesnt require regular top ups.
Any ideas or help would be gratefully recieved
