Hi everyone,

The problem is:

As I was cleaning my new Audi for the first time the other day, I got to the rear of the car with the old Dyson and noticed that there was no button etc to allow the rear seats to fold down.

I was a bit shocked to say the least so I consulted my manual and it shows, with pickas, that there should be a lever and keyhole on the top of the seats shoulders.

No such thing in my car. Just very puzzled is all.

Its a 2002 1.8T SE S-Line. Any help would be much appreciated!

Many thanks!

Same here, deep sports seats and buffalino leather. How come this is the case with the sports seat option thingy? *very confuzzled*

Many thanks.

I have a Sport model with cloth sport seats... no split rear.. (it is a 3/4 split on the A4)

It is an optinal extra of about £150.. its a bit of a rip off hence why people dont bother.... its no good when you go to B&Q for a plank of wood!!..

They also did a ski pack.. which as a door when you drop the centre arm rest down to allow ski's from the boot into the cabin..

There is one plus point!!!!!!!!! you know your boot is secure.. no one can smash a rear window and drop the seats to access the boot... it means they have to get pass the eletric boot release! (but a down side is, if some scum bag does attempt to get in.. you get a damaged lock instad of a smashed window....

With regard to carrying timber, I could always get a couple of shed door hinges and creat a split rear windscreen!.....perhaps not actually, that would look silly.:p

Good point, is there any way or do the seats need to be changed completely?

Many thanks
