I bought a 2001 S3 facelift with a Baileys DV26 already fitted to it.

I am now sick of the woooosh every time Im on the accelerator so have bought a Baileys DV30 to replace it. I now have to go and get the extra pipes as well, since the current pipes have all been modified and the D26 is miles away from where the original was.

However now I am reading that Dump Valves should not be fitted and that they are bad for the engine, especially the 1.8T, and should really only be replaced with OEM ones.

Can anyone clarify this matter for me as I thought the DV30 was a direct replacement for the OEM one only better built.

If anyone knows of a better valve that I should be using let me know.

Thanks guys

Hi,

Which Forge one should I get? Any suggestions.

Needs to be a recirculating one, as I dont want the noise.

Yep, the 007p is a recirc...direct uprated replacement for the OEM unit....same hoses, same connections, just copes with higher boost pressures better.!
