Hi all, this is my first post with my new (to me) Audi, if fact my first Audi having moved over from the dark side, BMW!!. My query is, having looked under the car I'm struggling to decide where to place my trolly jack to lift either the front or rear wheels, I don't want to risk making an expensive mistake, I've only had the car 2 days!, appologies if I have mised a FAQ but a search didn't bring up anything. Mark.

If you look under the sill, you will see a section around 8-10 inches from the wheel arch.

Use that, go slow if your unsure.

also find a piece of wood, plywood is ideal, to go over the jack pad, to spread the load, otherwise the two tiny contact areas on the jack can damage the sill.

Thanks for the replies I used the jacking point and bits of wood method and all went well. I too like the look of the yellow plastic gadget, is it specially made for the job?
