Emissions light on and no turbo on audi a3 1.9tdi

Light is on constant straight from start up.No smoke or noises but turbo does not kick in but i think thats due to limp mode

WELL

Took car to audi who checked it out quickly and said it was because the turbo was over boosting.They said its ok to drive and i have booked it in for next friday.

Any ideas to why its shown the emission light and why turbo is not working?

Any ideas to why its shown the emission light and why turbo is not working?

Its overboosting and in limp mode.
It could be sticking turbo vanes or a vacuum leak somewhere.
Have a look around this forum, there loads of posts...
