can ANYONE help???

:aargh4:i am in desperate need of some new, preferably uprated speakers for my 94 Passat Estate 1.8 CL!!apparently they need to be sourced form VW themselves but i have as yet had no joy, alternatively ive been told that i can get an adapter to make 3" round ones fit instead of the required 6" x 3" does anyone have ANY experience of this and can they offer any advice?

I once bought some pioneer speakers to replace the front speakers in a vauxhall astra.
I would try a car stereo specialist they will probably have upraded speakers to offer?

ive tried pretty much everywhere already, car stereo specialists galore as well as halfords etc scrapyards etc etc but i was told that not many cars require 6" x 3" s and therefore they arent that widely available so its VW or an adaptor type thing but either seems to be readily available, ive contacted VW on numerous occassions but they dont get back to me at all???

I would guess they may have Blaupunkt in there from VW? Are you sure they are not 6x4"?
