Hi,

Not mine, but a close friend has a t25 with single point injection engine.
on long runs (45mins or above) the engine will leak oil for about ten seconds when the engine is turned off.
it appears to be coming from the Gearbox/Engine mating areas, but other than this i can't be too sure.

the Van is a 1986 ClubJoker Camper.

the oil in the engine does not seem drop in level

surely this can't be right - can it?
any info appreciated!

Many thanks.

forgot to mention - he has only owned it for the past 2 weeks!!

have you tested the gearbox oil level
it could be rear main seal?

Thanks for the reply - only just been able to get on a PC to update the thread.
My friend has discovered (after 2000 miles) that ity is actually losing engine oil.
Just waiting to catch up with him, before i clean all of the breather pipes off!

Will keep you all posted! it just seems strange that a stream of oil will run out for around 30 to 40 secs after a reasonable run.
it comes out looking as though it should????!!!!

Check your rear crankshaft seal behind the flywheel.
when the engine is running the oil thrower ring on the crankshaft is holding the oil back when stopping the engine some of this oil is getting past the seal and leaking out.
