Just thought I'd post up a pic of my 1993 100 S4.
It's an ex-Audi Press/Fleet demo that I picked up back in May 2006 with just 63,000 miles on it. It has the electric sunroof and carbon trim, but otherwise not many boxes were ticked on the options sheet ...
Following its tenure with Audi it was fitted with the optional Diavia manual air-con and sold through Scotts of Sloane Square to a Chelsea-based businessman who (I am told) only used it for ski trips to the Alps, which may explain the set of snow chains in the boot and the low mileage. He sold it on to a colleague, and it was then bought by a fellow Club GTI member who kept it for 6-months before I purchased it from him.
Prior to me buying it it was serviced at Scotts and then at a Chelsea Porsche specialist who generated some eye-watering receipts! Since I took ownership it's been looked after by Tim Cooper at QRSport and latterly at his own RennTechUK setup.
I've put on 40k miles in the past 3 years and the car has been almost faultless with only a new rear gearbox bearing and fan bearing being needed in addition to standard service items. I've also had the wheels stripped and powdercoated - losing the original polished rim, but now a lot less susceptible to tarnishing.
There is an ever growing to-do list, but that's not unusual for a car this age I guess.
