4wd into 80 Tdi Avant

Right after laying under my car for a few hours ive had an idea, but need some info. Is it possible to convert an 80 tdi Avant into a quattro using parts from an 80 2.6 quattro? Would the gearbox bolt up to the engine? would the fuel tank clear the rear diff and would the exhaust need to be changed?

Any info would be appreciated

Don't take this advice badly as it is meant to be for your own well being and sanity, have a lie down and a short kip, when you awaken, treat your proposal as a nightmare and do not pursue it any further, if you really do want a Quattro, buy one that Audi made earlier :biglaugh:

nah, i like a challenge after doing research it seems it is possible so im now looking for a 2.6 quattro :D
This is phase 1 of my quick diesel estate, phase 2 is a 170bhp output 2.0 diesel i will be collecting soon
