The rear tyres on my V6 4Motion are wearing considerably more on the outside than on the inside. Is there any form of camber adjustment on the car that I can adjust (or have adjusted) to rectify this problem ?

Hi

I had a similar problem on the front tyres on mine. Have you checked alignment and tyre pressures. Mine were way out of alignment and probably not properly inflated since put back haven't worn unevenly at all. Or have you lowered it, dropped springs etc as I understand this will cause some issued that can be fixed with some rear lower tie bars.

Hi Jez.

Thanks for your post.

I check my pressures regularly, and don't have any problems with that so I've ruled that out.

The car hasn't been lowered or anything, and is running the standard Santa Monica 17's, so there shouldn't be any problem.

Normally I'd look in my trusty Haynes, but sadly they don't make one for the 4Motion.

I'm assuming there isn't a simple adjustment that can be made to the rear to align them ?

Hi

I would still get the geometry checked out by a specialist. The 4wd is known for being great when set up properly but tyre eating and nasty when even slightly out of kilter. I'm going to have mine done by someone with a Beissbarth (I think that's how you spell it) machine once I have dropped it a tiny bit. Suspect that the cost of geo alignment will be the cost of one tyre and should therefore save you the same amount quite quickly.
