Have you tried a VCDS Hex USB cable?

no i have not tried one of them, the autoboss scanner will not connect to it and that's got full oem functions,it cost over £2000 and is supposed to connect to vw's up to 2009

I will ask one Q, do you have the ignition on?

opps second thing, I use a Ross-tech Microcan cable on my MK5 and its perfect ;)

I can’t see both cars being faulty. I use a VCDS with a Hex USB daily at work on Golf 5’s and never have a connection issue.

yes they are can compatible, the autoboss does oem coverage, you can see all the options for instruments, convenience menu and so on but it wont connect.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, did you use the CANBUS adapter when you tried the Launch System?
