central locking problems

hi, having problems with central locking, all the doors except front passenger door lock and unlock perfect. front passenger door works fine sometimes and othertimes will not unlock, when not working, after pressing the fob you can hear a few clicking noises. any help would be great.my car is gt tdi 140bhp golf. thank you in advance.

Oh, oh I've had this!

I've found the solution is to effectively 'double click' your unlock key.

It seems that if you wait for too long between presses the front passenger door gets confused and doesn't unlock.

Not sure what causes it, but the 'double click' method seems to work for me. :D

this is correct, one click is drivers door only, a double click is everything,

thanks for the replys, i know and understand this, working the fob. I dont think this is the problem because the switch on the inside of the drivers door to lock or unlock the doors is showing the same problem, working all doors except again the front passenger door.

Check the wiring between the door pillar and the door or have a fault code read
