What are your views on modifying a Golf Mk4?

To be honest I think the Mk4 is the best looking out of all the golfs overtime, although, I must admit I am partial to the Mk1 clipper.

I think that you shouldn't really mess with perfection, apart from some nice wheels, a decent exhaust, maybe tint the windows slightly (purely for the sun protection :D ) and that's about it.

Here's the problem for me though, the only thing better than the mk4 is mk4 r32...... drewl!
I am now fancying an r32 kit on my mk4 gti. Is this consider a sin???:confused: lol. Should I just leave it as it is and save for the real thing.

I should imagine this will have interesting views so please be gentle haha

Ello ello ello, it's the fashion Police here !

My view is :-

R32 kits a big NO NO, R32's are R32's

Best mod(s) cosmetically are either;

Fit an Anniversary kit, bit more subtle.

or

Simply colour code the lower standard valences. You could also go for 4 motion valences which are a bit more unusual but the rear will require a new exhuast.

[edit]

You must lower a MK4 at least 30mm as well.

mk4s look the nuts on their *** (well every car does!) try not to make it something its not make it idividual add subtle touches with the standard low look cant beat it maybe some porsche or the classic BBS rims would look good too!
