how easy is this to fit. do ye have to take windows out

Easy doesn't even come into it. :D
No, but precut ones are probably harder to fit than a roll.
You also need to clean your windows and lather them in clean water and washing up liquid, and apply the film so it is able to slide around, you will get wet doors etc... Then you squeegee it from the centre outwards all the way round and then cut around the edges with a kraft knife.

Then wait a few days before you open the windows, as the water behind has to drain out - it usually just seeps out the bottom.

The enemy is dust and bits like hairs, if this gets in you water or is on the glass it will show as a bubble.
It's good if you can practice on your front door, shed, garage window etc...
