I recently had a towbar fitted to a Tiguan with the dedicated wiring. All has been working well until driving home today (without trailer connected) and the 'bulb failure' light showed up on the dashboard, followed by the display saying "Trailer right signal not working". I switched the car off, restarted and I get the same problem for left and right indicators. I've checked all the bulbs on the car and they are working. I'll give the fitter a call tomorrow but does anyone have any ideas? Loose connection or possibly something to do with the coding?
