Will do in the morning when they open. But they are closed so just wanted an insight on the price.

Call 3 dealers - and an Indy - to get prices.

Ring around again and see if you can get a dealer to match the Indy.... It's worked for me and I managed to get a 70k service cost down from £155 to £97.

I rang maidenhead, they quoted me £130. Ring a few more see how it goes.

I have just been quoted £220 for a second year service / 20,000 miles for my 1.9tdi.

They then said they advise the brake fluid is changed is aircon regassed for £110 extra.

My 20k service was just shy of £200 but if I were you I'd go through the service book and make sure you know what needs to be replaced before you phone - I've just had a 40K service and the dealer gave it a 60K service - which meant filters were changed that didn't need to be and the DSG oil wasn't changed when it should have been.

in general brake fluid should be replaced only on condition - as for aircon leave well alone if its doing the job
having said that your vehicle appears to be in warranty so if aircon is playing up is it not down to vw?
