Diagnostics socket on a passat

Can anybody tell me where the Diagnostics socket is on a Passat B5 1.9 diesel 2005 is.:confused:

You should be able to locate the Diagnostics socket either;


Under the (Driver's ?) Dashboard (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/dlc.html#mk4) or
Between the Front Seats (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/dlc.html#eurob5)

From my experience with a B5 Passat, I recall the diagnostics socket was (in agreement with the above) under the driver's side dash.

Nope, it's under the coin tray in the centre console next to the handbrake. I.e. between the front seats.

Nightmare to find until yo find it......;) But i second that its under the money :D

2005 1.9 (suggests the B5.5 platform) meaning it's under the dash bolster near your right knee.

Found it, it is under the dash on the drivers side by drivers right knee.
