How much did you pay and did you get software included?

Software is free to download from rosstech but the license is built into the cable itself .. Price is ~£250

You can buy from http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VCHU.html or http://www.ilexa.co.uk/acatalog/vagcom.html (first product)

Totally worth it and if your car is out of warranty you can save yourself diagnosis fees to find the fault yourself.

£250!! If I buy VAG-COM lead (with canbus) can I use standard fault code software or do I need expensive alternatives?

What's the going rate for a diagnostic scan at an indy nowadays? around £45 a pop? Only takes 5 scans and you've matched the initial outlay.

Best accessory I have ever bought for a car and you can do so much more with it too - retrofits, coding (beep on lock etc)
