Hi, I'm just in the process of speccing a new Scirocco to replace my A4 with and so far have opted for winter pack, folding mirrors, dynaudio upgrade, and parking sensors. I am seriously considering the shadow blue as my colour but wondered if anyone has any pictures of this colour? If so, could you post them or send them to me.

Cheers, Alan

The Scirocco is a strange car in that the photos do not do it justice, you should really see one in the flesh to decide on colour.

I have a Tornado red Golf GT Sport at the moment - and I love the colour on the Golf. Saw a Salsa red Scirocco at the dealership, and hated it.

I don't generally like white cars, but the Scirocco looks great (to me) in Candy white.

In the Flesh I have seen a black one (good, but the grille can't be easily distinguished from the paint job), a red one (don't like), Pewter grey (like it a lot - getting this colour in 2 weeks), Reflex silver (Like it a lot - could have been a real possibility), Rising Blue (Like it a lot - most popular metallic colour for the Scirocco), Viper Green (Great head-turning colour, not sure if it will affect the residual values at trade in).

I haven't seen Shadow blue on a Scirocco, but it can look very good on a Golf. It really comes alive in the sunlight.

Although I haven't seen one in the flesh, Summatra and the Champagne shade of Silver (can't remember VW's name for it) don't appeal to me at all.

If your dealer is part of a chain - one of the other branches might have a Shadow blue one in, you can but ask.

Go on VW's configurator on the website to get a rough idea of the colour.

Those pictures are the standard Scirocco, so if you are getting a GT, ignore the wheels and lack of fog lights and just concentrate on the colour, looks nice, even in the wet.

This is a good place to look for colour pictures

That French site has all the colours split into topics.

Good set of pics there, all angles in all colours.

I'm surprised there is such a place as a French VW site. I thought the French would lock you in a truck trailer full of sheep and set light to it for even considering not buying a French car, or at least go on strike for a week at the suggestion of not buying one of their own cars.

I thought I didn't like the Salsa Red until I saw this pic...

That's not salsa red.

It's a show car colour called firespark.

Salsa is much more like regular VW red.

Ah right thats why it looks so nice, as i saw salsa red and it looked very bland in the flesh.

Is it not possible to spec it in that colour then?

No sign of it yet.
Maybe they'll add it on the inevitable facelift in a couple of years.

Probably just when I'll be able to afford one!
Knowing my luck they'l ruin the looks! (If it ain't broke...!!!!)

Firespark is an amazing colour, Salsa red just doesn't do it for me though. I am a fan of red cars - I currently have a Tornado Red Golf GT Sport (for about another week, until the Scirocco comes) and love it. Seeing a Salsa Red Scirocco in the flesh, I didn't think it suited the car at all.

I hope VW don't bring Firespark any time soon - otherwise i'll regret my purchase instantly!
